The 4th East African Film Network took place during the Zanzibar International Film Festival from 4th to 6th July 2015. Main theme was on the Digital Migration in the broadcasting platform in East Africa. This theme was timely as East African countries had deadlines to move their content and programs from the analogue to the digital platforms. The Forum discussed ways of how the EAFN member states can work together to develop sustainable content that can be distributed regionally and internationally. Another topic handled was ways of creating a sustainable and vibrant EAFN by working on a strategic plan with a detailed work plan for the next five years. One main objective was the creation of an East African Film Commission that would be the advocacy, policy and regulatory body for film makers in East Africa. Key resource persons on the forum were Meredith Beal, the keynote speaker and Wangeci Murage the moderator. Elizabeth Wanyoike, EAC/GIZ moderated on the session “Towards a vibrant EAFN” using the Appreciative Inquiry model.
